The "wussy blonde guy and his butch sister" were the Henderson kids in both
shows. This is what I *think* it was about:
In Season 1, they're living in a country town when their mother dies.
Since their father is a notorious criminal type and not in their lives at
all, they keep up a pretence of everything being fine. Kylie Minogue's in it.
In Season 2, they're living in the city with their father (who turns out
to be not so bad after all) and the "butch sister" (Nadine Gardner) gets
romantically involved with the leader of a street gang. (Alex Papps).
Meanwhile it looks like their father's gotten involved in organized crime
on the Sydney docklands again.
