Yes, we received that email at the University on the 13 November and they
claim that it is a running gag that has been around for 2-3 years. You
should remember, Eleanor, that the Web and mass email is a source of jokes,
Urban myths and hoaxes, be very, very paranoid. I'm not Paranoid, all my
fears are real.
To keep it on topic, I think the reason they used a real musician as Jason
Wood was because he is recognisable as such and not just an actor nobody
would recognise. Also Madness was still fairly big at the end of the 80's
not as big as the mid-80's but still well Known in the UK.
