Here's some old business I've been meaning to bring up.... 1) There are dueling addresses out there in the archives for GangWay, and at least one of them is not right! I know, because I got a subscription I sent in returned to me addressee unknown. Am waiting to see what the other address brings, but the one on the web-site is probably the correct one. 2) Americans watching PG on Encore and not knowing what will show up on any given weekend, here's a hint that might help you. Encore doesn't have a web-site, but you can pull down program information off of DirecTv's website or from the Prevue channel if your local cable company carries Encoreplex. As I'm operating on a backup machine so slow, moss grows on it, I can't check out the exact addresses for you, but I think the main menus are www.directv.com and www.prevue.com ---work your way in from there. From what I see on the satellite, there are at least three separate episode streams going. Lisalet and our other befuddled Americans might want to play around and see if they can work out Encore's system. There is a method to it some of the time, but keep an eye on them, because they will throw curves at you. 3. Quick impressions on the third season so far? Hit-miss. "The Big Hello" was very good, "Killer on the Line" had a few good moments, but didn't really set my heart a-thumping. Lynda's famous "Dear Diary" line is much funnier in the quote list than it is on screen, where I think the director mishandled the scene. 4. With my computer monitor gone kaputsky, my VCR is getting a workout. One of the things I'm working on is trying to update my copies of the Sangster and Petford program guides to better reflect the cast lists in the first and second seasons. PG didn't give the background members appearance credits until the beginning of season two, but you can see and hear Kate, Kevin, Sonja, and Jeff (among others) in at least some of the first season stories. Also, I'm looking for main characters who were either were absent from season 1 & 2 stories or who had no lines....Danny and Julie come to mind a lot, but I'm not sure how true this actually is. I'll be glad when the holidays are over. I can't get my machine fixed until the monitor company finishes their extended holiday. I hope they are WELL rested.
