>Speaking of my dear friend Murray, we have found a rather interesting >common ground--we both wish there was more of Sophie Newton on PG! I'm glad you two have found something to agree on. : ) > It is mentioned in the Programme Guide that Jeremy Hodge (who played Kevin) >seemed to always be the one whose lines got cut when episodes overran. >Was that true of Kate as well? Kate's character seems to always lurk in >the background, get one line, and Sophie (Or Sophy--it goes both ways in >the credits) does a pretty good job delivering it. For those new to PG, >Kate is the one Lynda picks to steal Chrissie Stuart's notes in "How to >Make a Killing" and is a rather uncritical fan of the tempermental Jason >Wood from "Friends Like These". Kate assumes the job of heading graphics >after Sam leaves. You'd expect a department head to get more than one >line once in a while, wouldn't you? But she doesn't, and Murray and I >were curious why. There were a lot of characters like that. But that was one of the great things about PG - those background charaters/actors remaned the same through the series !!! We only saw one side of the Junior Gazette there was a whole buch of people who didn't even have names. Also the battle between Lynda and the Graphic department became less personal after Sam left. Julie wasn't that big a character untill she left. - Perhaps Steven Moffat knew that a Newspaper needed a Graphic's department but didn't really know what they did. ??? We never really saw into the graphic department when they were at work. Natacha, As always throwing her two cents in. >Kevin Nauta, sharing a by-line with Murray Head >prydonia@accn.org muzza@omen.net.au -- T H E P R E S S G A N G M A I L I N G L I S T By default, pressing 'reply' will send mail back to the list, not to the author of the message you're replying to.
