hi all!
i decided to go for it and drove the three hours (two if you totally ignore
the speed limit and pray for no cops) to Palm Springs to see the premier of
Metroland. Lee Ross wasn't there. i was minorly disappointed. but it was a
good movie, and Christian Bale and the producer (whatever his name is...
Philip?) were there and they answered questions after the movie. someone
inquired about who that Toni guy (Lee Ross's character) was, and Christian
Bale mentioned that he'd been in Secrets and Lies, The English Patient, and
Hard Men, but said nothing of his part in Press Gang! i was rather diappointed
that that fact was completely looked over, but could Christian really not have
know? perish the thought! anyway, Lee did an excellent job, and i really
enjoyed it and hopefully this'll be the segue to bigger and better parts that
are more widely released.
