Actually I think you've come up with something new. Certainly Spike
has done a lot of things like this.

I always felt that he sounded to weird for it to be fake. If you have
to dub the scene because of traffic noise etc then wouldn't you get
someone else to say the lines ? Or maybe its conected with what
Spike says " Didn't I see you in a movie once 'creatures from Mars' "
