Good grief, this is my fourth today. Shall I make this the last? (What do you mean, "yes"?) I read a piece of PG fan fiction somewhere (probably en issue of Breakfast at Czar's - maybe even the issue I own, it's such an age since I read it - that's one of the problems of being away from home at uni) which suggested that Spike's bad behaviour at the school dance involved removing a young lady's underwear (upper half) while she was still wearing the overwear. Which isn't necessarily confiirmed by the series proper, but seems to fit the available facts - as the "Money, Love and Birdseed" line confirms, Spike (in his pre-Junior Gazette days) did have something of a penchant for doing all manner of strange things with young ladies' smalls. Also, I think the line in "At Last, A Dragon," where he says he doesn't remember a particular party, *is* meant to imply a drinks problem. And he definitely had a tendency to violence, although I think he exaggerated this for effect on occasions. There's no doubt that in "Photo Finish," when he offers the other guys a "punch line," he's being serious. Love y'all loads, David. -- T H E P R E S S G A N G M A I L I N G L I S T By default, pressing 'reply' will send mail back to the list, not to the author of the message you're replying to.
