Hello again fellow worshippers at the temple of PressGang,
The mailing list has recently been enriched by the addition of a number of
new posters, so I think it must be just about time to compile an updated
version of the demography list.
For newcomers: from time to time I've been putting out a list of the
locations of all of our list members, so that things like
get-togethers/conventions/episode swappings (not that we approve of
copyright violations - oh no) can be arranged. In addition, in the past we
have been asked about the ages of the people on the list, so I have, in the
past, included a breakdown of the average age of the list members. As a
matter of interest, I also list the occupations of list members (in terms of
numbers, not matched up to individuals), and the gender balance in the list).
All info will be compiled and sent to the mailing list as soon as updates
are added. If you want to be on it, send me an email with the following
information (or as much as you wish to empart) included somewhere:
Name
Gender
City/Town, State/province and Country of residence
Date of birth (or age if you prefer, although DOB will, once I get
my spreadsheet working properly, mean the updates will be accurate) (write
the month or use dd/mm/yy please)
Occupation (students, please list your area of study)
At the moment, the only bit of information that will be directly associated
with you is your city of residence, however later versions of the list may
change to include more info with your name, unless you ask me not to. If
you are willing to send some information for inclusion in the list (eg your
age, occupation), but don't want it listed near your name, just say so, and
it will remain our little secret for evermore :)
