Firstly: Welcome to the list, Dot. Emily reminded us: >I had forgotton about Billy. He did reappear in "Something Terrible" (the >one about the sexually abused girl that Colin tried to help). He was seen after that - Spike spoke to him on the 'phone in "The Last Word" (series three) - at which time he was obviously not working for the J.Gazette, as Spike hadn't seen him in a while. We did actually _see_ him later than this: as many people on the list have noted, he is visible in the production booth of Frazz's "Dr. Cool" radio show in "Day Dreams" (Series 4 final). I think he actually says some (inconsequential) line, but he wasn't actually listed in the credits. > I thought that >he was a good character and I would have liked to see his character >developed more. He never did break out of the frame of "boy who knows about >computers and is tetraplegic". In fact, if he had stayed around long enough >he could have been groomed to become the Junior Gazette's new peacemaker and >level headed member of the news team after Kenny left. I don't know that Billy was as likeable as Kenny. They had very different styles - Kenny would be sympathetic, listen well, then negotiate - while Billy was a little (well, quite a bit!) more arrogant, and tended to take a stand early and then make his judgement known; not a style whiuch I think would have made for a harmonious newsroom if he tried to take Kenny's place controlling Lynda. Still, he was the guy that Mr Sensitive Advice himself, Kenny Phillips, went to in a time of need.
