Hello. I started watching the last series first and then watched my cousin's
videos of the series. Her video collection is not complete and it is in a
wierd order so I didn't see the whole thing in the order you are supposed
to. Slowly I picked up pieces of information that you find out in the
begining (no that was not meant as a reference to "Picking Up The Pieces").
Spike's real name is James Thompson (who scarily enough is a boy in my
boilogy and Australian studies class). His name was mentioned in the first
episode, "Page One" and in a few others after that including 'Love And War".
In "Interface" he mentions that he was born in New York.The dilogue went as
follows
LYNDA: I want to talk, Spike.
SPIKE: You want to talk Spike? Well I was born in New York, two parents, one
of each. You know how it goes.
I am not sure where he grew up though or where his dad is from (which part
of America)
