As we saw in (now I forget the name but that episode where she was trying to sack that girl*) she wasn't really as tough and cold hearted as she would like to be. Ssshe probably didn't want Spike if she had him against her will, apart from anything she wouldn't be able to reproach him about following her around the newsroom etc and he would always win those "You love me more than I love you" arguments that Spike and Lynda are famous for because he could always say that he was there against his will. Also she would be able to have a good laugh at Spike's expense because he had his passport all along (similar situation to Lynda telling Frazz that his letters are just behind him). However she did eventually give the passport back because the fun was over. > >Emily Hunt > >*Was that red haired girl the one in "The Power Of One" (or could it be "Cry Freedom", I always get them mixed up) and "The Man Without A Face" > >Actully that brings me in mind of a funny thing that has nothing to do with Press Gang but for the fact that my cousin is a Press Gang fan. My cousin's favourite actor is Mel Gibson (needless to say she loved "The Bounty" because her two favourite actors were standing side by side in a few scenes)and we took our younger cousin to see the film "Fairy Tale" or something like that. She got all excited because it was made by Mel Gibson's company made it. Anyway right at the end Mel gibson made a cameo appearance and everybody in our group apart from Amy (my cousin) recognised him. I thought it was very funny but I am sorry to take up anyone's time if they need to get lots of assignments finished this weekend, which reminds me I better be going. That is the problem with the Adelaide festival. I am so busy going to plays and concerts that I have no time for school work. I am going to see "The Taming Of the Shrew Tonight" and I believe the girl from "Class Act" and "Raw FM" is in it. > -- T H E P R E S S G A N G M A I L I N G L I S T By default, pressing 'reply' will send mail back to the list, not to the author of the message you're replying to.
