I never got to see the first few episodes of the series, >> but I 7 years, with the option of leaving at the end of the 5th. The JG staff were in the 6th form when they started the newspaper. Sixth form, confusingly, spans 2 years - upper and lower sixth. >> > > think I remember the children's show host of "Bad News" talking to >> > > Lynda about being in her sixth year at school when the paper was >> > > started up. >> > > >> > > And >> > In last night's ep. here in Australia 'Going back to Jasper Street', >> Lynda >> > said she was 16 so she may have been in the 4th or 5th form. Hope >> that helps. Actually this is interesting. By the 6th form Lynda should be 16, nearly 17 at the youngest. A section entitled "Time and the Junior Gazette" in the programme guide suggests that the JG starts in the Upper Sixth, and Lynda is younger than everyone else because she was moved up a year for being precocious. -- Laura -- T H E P R E S S G A N G M A I L I N G L I S T By default, pressing 'reply' will send mail back to the list, not to the author of the message you're replying to.
