Dear Press Gang mailing list members, I'm Lauren Hildebrand (aka known as Lauren Hildebrande, Author of 'Death and the Junior Gazette' from the latest issue of Gang Way :o) ). I am a 17 year old girl and I live near Melbourne in Australia. I work as a legal receptionist in a small legal firm. I finished Year 11 last year and decided to leave school when I was offered the job. I am saving up (well, trying to) heaps of money so that I can live and hopefully work in England for a couple of years. If anyone is interested in an Australian pen friend/email friend then please email me and let me know. Umm....I started watching Press Gang on about the second or third repeat on ABC, in about 1993, or 1994 (when it was on every weeknight at 5:30pm). I didn't really like it at first and missed quite a few episodes. Then I was flicking through the stations and it caught my interest. The episode was either 'Going back to Jasper Street' or 'Something Terrible' (I can't really remember). I thought it was terrific and from then on I didn't want to miss an episode. I only managed to tape a few episodes, 'The rest of my life', 'Rock Solid' and 'The big finish'. I watched these over and over and I was dying to know what happened between 'The rest of my life' and 'Rock Solid' as Spike and Lydna were very close at the end of 'The rest of my life' and not talking in 'Rock Solid'. Anyhow, I could go on forever (and I probably will *joke*). When Press Gang came back on I managed to tape every episode except for the first one as I didn't realise that it had started again. Even until now, I have only managed to see the first episode once. I own the four books and the Press Gang programme guide. What I like most about Press Gang are the phrases that can be used from it. When I used to watch my tapes constantly I could think of a Press Gang related reply in almost every conversation. I have forgotten most of them now, but I would love to go through all the episodes again and remember them. I think that is enough for now, sorry about rambling on. I will make a bigger attempt to contribute to the conversation.
