Hi my name is Belinda and I've just joined the PG mailing list(well at least I hope I have Im not sure it worked. Matt can you check this for me ?)after reading all the archives. Its been about 6 months since I visited the PG web site - it seems a lot has been happening in my absense and I thought it was about time I got in on the action. Im 21 (I'll be 22 on 24th April) female living in Sydney (yes another Aussie PG fan I hear you all cry). I finished a degree in Computing Science & Marketing last year and am now working as a consultant and studying business part-time. Oh & yeas Im a total tv addict (of course quality programs only). I have every episode of Press Gang on tape - in my opion its the best tv show the UK ever produced. I first saw in it late 1990, but didn't really get into it until Oct/Nov 1992 when the ABC re-ran series 1 & 2 and aired series 3, 4 & 5 for the first time. As a matter of fact it was right at the start of my HSC exams and instead of studying I was rushing home every afternoon to watch PG and see what was going to happen between Spike and Lynda. (Note this was before PG had a cult following, in fact at the time I only knew 4 other people who watched it). In fact the cliffhanger of Day Dreams was just about all I could stand and it was a very long and painful wait for the final series (6) in 1995 (although it was worth the wait). My favourite episodes are At Last a Dragon (casue we get to see another side to Lynda), The Last Word, Friendly Fire and There Are Crocodiles (for its sheer brilliance). Although I dont think there was such a thing as a bad episode - and Ive seen them all hundreds of times. Everytime I watch them I notice something new and the intellegence of the humour and strength of characters means it never gets old. Where else do you find characters which complement each other so perfectly. Anyone want to talk favourite scenes ?????? It always amazes me how many closet PG fans there are out there - at a recent party I met 4 new people who share my PG obsession and likewise have episodes on tape. Widya I'd really love a copy of you PG quotes file (so please mail me a copy when you get a chance) but might I suggest that you ask Matt Saunders to post it somewhere on the PG web site for everyone. Here's my two cents worth for PG meets Star Wars. Does anyone else see Mr Sullivan as Yoda (all that wise advice) and Katherine Hill (Spikes Mum) as an Emperor type figure determined the upset the force (the chemistry and all that is good) between Lynda (Princess Leia) and Solo (Spike) ????? Hey, is there anyone one on this list who has some PG fan fic they want to share - Im sure some of you could write some pretty great stuff if you put your mind to it (I'd do it my self but could hardly find time to write this mail). Also does anyone have any good .wav files from PG they could mail me ??? One last bit of trivia - Has anyone else noticed Dexter Fletcher on the video sequence of the Batman Ride at Warner Bros Movie World on the Gold Coast ??? It amazing where these PG people pop up ! Well if I hope I haven't bored you all too much (Im new at this mailing list thing and I know I ramble on a bit) - I look forward to hearing from you soon. Belinda P.S - May Chan (c/o Colleen) I went to school with your sister Colleen, ask her to drop me a line sometime.
