Hi everyone, I'm supposed to be revising for exams (again) so I'll have to make this a quick one.... In yesterday's Saturday Times, there is a kiddies' supplement called 1015. This has an article about "Wavelength" in it. I thought the following might be of interest..... "About a group of teenage radio presenters who turn round an ailing radio station, and written by 29 year-old Paul Cornell, "Wavelength" was made by the same company who created "Press Gang", the cult comedy drama about a school newspaper. It was "Press Gang" who launched the career of Julia Sawalha. It also starred Lee Ross who appeared in Mike Leigh's hit movie, "Secrets and Lies". And it spawned gazillions of fanzines, conventions and unhealthily obsessed fans." Well, all good stuff apart from the last sentence. As far as I'm aware there were only three or four fanzines, two conventions, and as for the last bit, we're not unhealthy are we? Must've been written by my parents....... Just thought I'd let you all know. -- Laura -- * T H E P R E S S G A N G M A I L I N G L I S T * * * * By default, replies will go back to this list, not to * * the author of the message you're replying to. * * * * To unsubscribe from this list, mail the word * * "unsubscribe" to "pressgang-request@yoyo.org". * |
