I think we should stop asking for permission. If we ask enough people, somebody's bound to say no. I say, we each grab an episode and just get the darn thing done. Then we upload them to a web site, and Bob might not be our uncle but he'd be some sort of distant relative the likes of which we generally don't speak about at parties. I have all of the episodes except the first three on tape, and I'm willing to have a go at any of them. In fact, consider me "officially" volunteered. As long as nobody takes credit for the scripts, the worst that will happen is the web site would be forced to remove them. If we constantly run to authority figures asking permission, what would Lynda think? Besides, we're talking about a now-concluded television series. Worst case senario is that nobody but the copyright holders (if any) read the scripts, we're forced to remove them from the Net, and it was a big waste of time. Best case senario is that lots of people read them, we're not forced to remove them from the Net, and the scripts peak the interest of thousands of new viewers who all demand their local stations carry the show (which prompts the completion of the movie, then the sequel, the cartoon show, the t-shirts, the conventions, and of course the Spike and Lynda dolls). So, I say we consider it a "go." If somebody doesn't want to participate, then, well, and this is the easy bit, don't. The only thing left to discuss, imho, is the format for the scripts. I think it'll improve the collection if we try to follow the same format. Never having done any scriptwriting, I don't know the "proper" form. If nobody else knows it either, then I'll go look it up and post it here. Okay, I'll get up out of Lynda's chair now. The red drapes did suit me, though, eh? ;-) Have a Lynda day Carrington P.S. Speaking of the Spike and Lynda dolls, does everyone else out there crack up completely when Colin rubs them together in glee? That kills me. --- Carrington Vanston (c@ebean.com) The Electric Bean Cybercafe http://www.electricbean.com -- | T H E P R E S S G A N G M A I L I N G L I S T | | | | By default, replies will go back to this list, not to | | the author of the message you're replying to. | | | | To unsubscribe from this list, mail the word | | "unsubscribe" to "pressgang-request@yoyo.org". | |
