Even easier than that (well, only if you're technically minded) a lot of recent VCR's have a audio out plug at the back of the machine, usually to an RCA fitting. Attach a decent tape recorder to it and just record the audio. Even better, if you have a stereo hifi a/v system you'd probably already have the whole darn thing setup already!
