hello everyone. i was informed it was the done thing to introduce myself
now that i have joined the mailing list.
my name is micaela (pronounced mik[eye]la - lots of people have
difficulties with the pronunciation) and i live in southern sydney in a
lovely little suburb called oatley. i'm the youngest of 5 kids (1 boy, 4
girls) and i have 5 nephews and 2 nieces with an unknown due in october.
i'm 22, but not for long, and i was until recently at sydney university
writing an honours thesis on teddy bears and children's literature.
i discovered pressgang rather late in its australian run, but am now
very eagerly trying to catch up on what i have missed. i love all the
characters, of course, but i think my favourite is kenny, and i get very
excited when i see lee ross in any other shows (even when he gets cast
as a bad guy). my favourite pg episode is "bad news", particularly for
the part where lynda and spike are reunited on crazy stuff, and for
frazz' line "sex and violence - i love children's television!" after
watching the broadcast in the newsroom.
apart from pg my interests include drama, music, sport, t.v and film,
reading, languages, soft cuddly things and travelling. i think that
pretty much covers everything so i'll leave it there and look forward to
more pg mail. bye.
