I loved Friendly Fire, because it answered to my satisfaction all
the questions I had throughout the series - i.e. Lynda's Dad, why there had
never been any mention of Sarah, etc. going to Uni. How often does a show
actually answer your questions like that?? (Answer, practically never.)
I also laughed like anything at the scene in Windfall where, in one
fell swoop, Colin accidentally disposes of Julie's cat, bird and goldfish.
I thought that any disappointment I felt with the final series was
probably due to me expecting more of the show by then. When you know it's
likely that there will only be 6 more episodes ever, then you naturally
expect a great deal from those episodes.
As to the ABC maybe selling the rights to PG....I can't stand the
idea of PG with ads.
