Fantasies for Press Gang members
My personal fantasy is that they somehow manage
to take the Junior Gazette to become a major
paper with Lynda as Editor and Spike as Ace
reporter (still unmarried with lots of unresolved
sexual tension).
Kenny is of course Deputy editor
and is married to Sam (Gabrielle Anwar) who
is the editor of a major fashion magazine such
as Vouge or Harpers and is a major rival
with Lynda and the air is filled with mutual antipathy
(I am sorry she's cuter then the Irish girl)
Sam still laughs at Lynda's fashion sense Lynda
thinks Sam is a mjor bimbo, they both seek to control
Kenny.
Colin is a media magnate (like Murdoch) and owns
both the paper and the magazine and he
has an off again on again marriage
with Julie who has become an artist, but likes
to pursue musclemen/roughtrade.
Frazz is Colins right hand man and Spikes best
friend he has a hot thing going with the girl
who was a Chess genius they have a happy
marriage and kids, he has remained cool
and collected.
Sophie and Laura have come
out of the closet and are the heads of
Colins security read guns for hire troble shooters
ie the heavy mob.
Sarah has met and married
the man of her dreams, he is a well
off respected novelist. Sarah is still dragged
into writing for both Sam's magazine and
Lynda's paper she has become the voice
of her generation due to her print work
but she really wants to write
serious novels but due to Lynda and
Sam's manipulation she doesn't have time and
cannot explain why she is such a dormat
to her husband.
Tiddler has met and married
a Spike clone she is happy and is deputy
editor to Sam's magazine but has serious
doubts about the value of the publication,
she still breds rabbits.
Sullivan has left teaching and now works
for Colin as middle management . Kerr runs
another serious journal in the Mathews group,
the reporter who helped set them up (whose
name escapes me (Cassie???) is a reporter
who now works for Lynda.
This is how I sometimes envision the future
of the press gang, or at least it sounds like
a jumping off point for a series that would put
Melrose Place to shame.
Favourite TV Shows in no particular order
1.Forever Knight ( a really cool vampire show)
2.Blakes 7Depressing but well written I love Servelan
3.A whole host of Manga including
Tenchi Muyo, Bubblegum crisis,
Ranma and the Historic legend of Prince Arislan
4.Cracker a journey into the human psyche
5. Press Gang (why else would a be here
7.Friends I am a little ashamed of this one.
8.Xena Funny show
9.Star Trek Deep Space Nine
Better written then the other trek shows
10.Battle Star Galactica (both Movie and series)
11.Drop the Dead Donkey Bitter very bitter
12.I Claudius Terrific historical drama
13.The first series of Murder One
A good thriller
14. Babylon 5
I love TV as a medium and so watch a lot
of shows but these are the ones that I go
a long way out of my way to get copies of or
watch but mainly I am addicted
to British Drama (Bring back Eastenders!!)
trashy soap Operas (what ever hapened
to Savanah?) comedy and
Science fiction.
