>Just on the topic of what happened to the people of Press Gang after the
>final episode..
>I was never actually sure that Lynda did survive the fire..
>When she appears in Spikes room right at the end (looking kindof frazzled
>and worse for wear!) and she tells him that she escaped somehow (i can't
>remember how..)
Lynda never says how she got out.
> Spike says something like "I can't believe it's true.."and
>"if i kiss you will i wake up and find this is all a dream.."
>And then,I was watching with bated breath as they were just about to
>kiss - to find out whether he would stay awake and it was all real,or
>whether he would wake up and find out it was all a dream.
>But right before they kissed, the picture froze!
I just had a new idea for what happened - it was a dream, but not
Spike's - the final scene we don't see is Lynda waking up and saying
'Damm'
>So,i kindof liked the way it was left up in the air..maybe she died and
>maybe she didnt...maybe spike was dreaming, maybe he wasnt..
>I seem to remember that when Spike told Lynda he had been told she was
>dead, the explanation Lynda gave wasn't that detailed!
Spike: You were dead
Lynda: Yeah, but I didn't like the company. Losers.
>On the other hand,Lynda isn't the type to just have decisions made for
>her! And she, more than anyone, would be smart enough to get out of a
>situation like that..
>I can't decide!
>But i think it was kindof cool how the Steven Moffat left it so
>unresolved..
>What does everyone else think?
>Also, does anyone know why Lee Ross left the show so suddenly?
He was auditioning for another part and decied to go for that rather
than do PG. He then didn't get the other part, but Julie had been
written in. I think he couldn't come back for series 5 becuase of
commitments to another project.
