that is one of the (many) great things about press gang, there are in each
episode at least 1 sub-plot besides the main one, it adds a bit of variety.
there are always colin's antics with sophie and laura or kenny's love life,
or frazz's horoscopes going on. also all the characters get fully explored
and developed, not just spike and lynda, it's a really well structured
program.
