Hello Happy New Year etc (insert religious festivals, birthdays).

To all the new people on the list I'm the one who writes at least 1-2
messages every day.

Well I've just spent the last 4 weeks in Hong Kong the place Colin
went to when he left the Junior Gazette ( or at least he should
have). Membership the the golf club is 1 million dollars!!! Christmas
is a clebration of consumerisim - I saw pleanty of Santa Claus,
presents, lights and decerations but no nativity scenes.

Yet dispite this it has billion dollor views of the ocean and
wilderness.

-----------

Back to the topic of PG (I hear groans of "Oh no here she goes again")

I must admit that line in 'A night in' always seemed strange to me it
didn't fit Spike, and he seemed uncomfortable saying it, or what we later
learned about his dad but then I remembered what he said to Donald
Cooper in the Last Word part 1 -

" next time just be mean to someone you love... Throw plates at them"

Spike certainly destroyed things but it seemed rarely people. I know
he got into fights but it was impled that he exagerated them. But
them his relationship with Lynda was based on the fact that she
fought back. He certainly was not happy at being told by his mother
that he was exactly like his father.

However through out the telephone conversations with his father's
aswering magaine he never mentioned violence and his was trying to
think of every lously things to say about there relationship. The
problem seemed to be more verbal. what Spike might be talking about
in 'A nght in" is a attatude rather than reality. That his father
might not have hit his mother but wanted to and expected that that
would be the one time when she would appologise. Katherne Hill and
Lynda were the type of women to cause more dammage than would be
inflicted upon them.

just my apinion,

Natacha
