I don't know if it's *just* you, but I rather liked "Chalk", actually-- the
second series especially. (And that was despite not spotting any of the PG
in-jokes, because I haven't had the chance to see PG since it first aired on
CITV all those years ago...)
I wasn't too keen on David Bamber to start with, but he sort of grew on me.
