I remember Sarah saying something to Julie/Spike/Frazz/the newsroom at large
about telling Lynda she was going to the party with Gary Morris - I don't
_remember_ her saying anything about leaving her number, but wouldn't it fit
the overall pattern for her to leave a note saying something along the lines of
"Dear Lynda, I just thought I should let you know, I'll be at a party
tonight; the number is *******, just in case you need me,
                                                  Sarah
PS If you ring and they can't find me, ask for Gary Morris, as I'm going
with him."

Thus Sarah crowbars the fact that she's going to the party with GM yet again
(the mention to Julie, Spike etc can be conveniently explained by her as
"oh, I forgot I'd written the note" or something, while actually, it's just
another chance to mention the date in front of the newsroom team).

Okay, I'm getting theoretical, but it works, dunnit!

Good wishes to all,
Murray
