Couldn't agree more on these two. Absolute classics.
>#3 SOMETHING TERRIBLE (both parts)
A worthy issue for PG to cover, but I must confess it bored me silly for the
most part. Colin is one of my favourite characters and he's not the same
Colin when he's serious and sensible.
>#4 THERE ARE CROCODILES
I didn't like this episode actually, contrary I believe to most list
members. As with most of series 5 a lot of the action seemed slightly out
of character and strange. (That was stunningly specific wasn't it :))
>#5 FRIENDLY FIRE
Nup. Didn't like this one either.
>#6 THE WEEK AND PIZZA
Yes. As with "A Night In" had stacks of great interaction between characters
and showed how great episodes can be made with a limited budget
>#7 LOVE AND THE JUNIOR GAZETTE
Definitely. Three (I think) superbly written and constructed subplots.
>#8 A QUARTER TO MIDNIGHT
Easily the best series 5 episode. Matches "The Last Word" for tension,
marred only by some annoying plot inconsistencies.
>#9 A NIGHT IN
see #6
>#10 BREAKFAST AT CZARS
Damn. Haven't got this episode on tape, can't remember it, and so am annoyed
that you think it's good.

>Kevin's Ten Worst Stories

Agreed
>#2 CHANCE IS A FINE THING
> Didn't like the Clark subplot; Colin a little much to take
Must disagree with you here. The Judy/Colin/Spike restaurant scenes were
hilarious. "Lord, Judy, Spike's been writing down everything I say" is my
all time favourite Colin line even in the face of some stiff competition.
>#3 SHE'S GOT IT TAPED
> Nice, but not very memorable or interesting
Yes. Badly misses Spike and Lynda
>#4 DAY DREAMS
> Great idea wasted by a case of the stupids.
Frazz and Sarah's scenes were stupid, Colin's was so stupid that I enjoyed it.
>#5 HEAD AND HEART
> Colin at his most annoying, Spike & Frazz unsympathetic
More Series 5 crap. Sorry Steven if you read this.
>#6 ONE EASY LESSON
> Mr. Knowles does not improve with viewing
Made me cringe. I can't bear to watch the butterfly scene.
>#7 WINDFALL
> Funny, but oh so bloody stupid.
Spot on.
>#8 YESTERDAY'S NEWS
> Great Spike & Lynda vehicle, but I don't buy the N.V. Gillespie bit
Not especially memorable.
>#9 MONEY, LOVE, AND BIRDSEED
> Tell me you go about your business with a room full of pigeons??
The other episode I don't have on tape.
>#10 FOOD, LOVE, AND INSECURITY
> No good reason, I just hate it. Must be Phillippa chasing Spike.
Only worth it for the kiss at the end.

As you might have guessed, I love this sort of discussion. When we've
finished picking Kevin's list to bits and sent him packing back to his mail
room (sorry, Kevin) I will endeavour to put up my bests and worsts for scrutiny.

But that's all for now, folks.
