The episode (I happened to re-watch it this afternoon <blush> ) was
Money, love and birdseed. The comment about the flagpole came in when
Lynda was trying to ask Spike out for a "birthday treat at the
Pavillion" (a result of Tiddlers conniving). Lynda was being really
sweet, which made Spike panic and blurt out something about how he
didn't realise that it was *her* underwear.
A thought from the "would relationships between other PG persons work"
thread: why would Tiddler be trying to set them up if she had a crush on
Spike?
