Sorry about the late replies - I have had to keep my 'phone line open for
various reasons over the weekend, so haven't been able to download my mail.

>Kevin's Ten Best Stories....
Oh my god - I think I agree with all of those! :) However, like Natacha I
reserve judgement on the order. (Kevin - I must admit that I was surprised
(but in full agreement) with your inclusion of A Night In, given Colin's
rabbit suit...)

>Kevin's Ten Worst Stories
>#1 PICKING UP THE PIECES
> Completely unbelievable pairing of Frazz & Suzy Norton
I'm not sure that I'd put this first on the list, but not one of the best,
certainly.

>#2 CHANCE IS A FINE THING
> Didn't like the Clark subplot; Colin a little much to take
I don't think this would make it on my bottom shows list, although in
picking the ten "worst" PG shows would a few good'uns would make it.
From our off-list discussions, and the above comment, I'd guess that
Kevin dislikes this one because of the "silliness" of Colin - personally, I
think he makes a good comic character.

>#3 SHE'S GOT IT TAPED
>#4 DAY DREAMS
All agreed

>#5 HEAD AND HEART
> Colin at his most annoying, Spike & Frazz unsympathetic
This would possibly make it to my bottom ten list (because of the overly
obvious (Full House-esque) moral push), but again, I liked Colin's lines and
absurd behaviour.

>#6 ONE EASY LESSON
>#7 WINDFALL

>#8 YESTERDAY'S NEWS
> Great Spike & Lynda vehicle, but I don't buy the L.V. Gillespie bit
(Ahem) I assume you mean _N._ V. Guillespie. :)

>#9 MONEY, LOVE, AND BIRDSEED
> Tell me you go about your business with a room full of pigeons??
The "birdseed" (and the "love") were the bits I _liked_ in that episode -
Billy "oh my I'm clever" Homer doing a Sherlock Holmes?, give me a break! -
I must admit that the charge of tokenism put forward by Jim Sangster in the
(wonderful) Programme Guide rang true to me.
Overall, I thought that the episode was balanced out by above and below
average elements (I find it very hard to refer to any PG as "bad").

>#10 FOOD, LOVE, AND INSECURITY
> No good reason, I just hate it. Must be Phillippa chasing Spike.
Well, there were weaknesses, but I certainly didn't hate it - it had a nice
"state of the relationship" swing to the ending.

Again, I have to say that picking a bottom 10 in PG woul be hard given the
overall quality of the show, so I certainly wouldn't expect to come up with
an any more agreeable list than Kevin did - in picking one quarter of
episodes to stick a "bad" (or at least "less good") label on, there are
bound to be some quality episodes included.
