Ooh, he's a brave boy is our Jonathon :)
And to think... I'd just logged on to say: [see next post "Welcome fellow

I agree that this is a great ep, although I would probably marginally prefer
"The Big Finish?" as a representative of the period (if only for Brian "Do
you people not like me" Magboy and Lynda's (eventual) dialogue with Spike).

I agree - comments, Kevin? :)

I find an almost intangible greatness to this ep, probably due in part to
the change of pace after Jasper Street

My first instinct was to disagree with this one (so much have I been
brainwashed by the constant praise heaped on this episode (not entirely
unjustifiedly) by my list comrades), but actually I've always thought that
while there are some great sides to the story (and being the last ep made it
very special) some of it is so atypical (or perhaps just unpalettable) that
it can, in moments, be depressing to watch. Maybe I just like to see happy
families too much, but I find the constant conflict (Lynda seeming uncaring,
Lynda mistrusting Spike) leaves me with a sad feeling in many parts
(although the ep as a whole works well, and is written brilliantly as it
goes). Of course, the great bits are truly great *****spoilers (?)
backwards in brackets (agas llabtoof eht ,dne eht ta kcabthgif lanoitome
s'adnyL)*****, and it certainly works as a way to end the series while
leaving the punters interested.

I agree absolutely (esp the walkman).

Haha, I knew it would catch on!
Murray (who will spend the next few days trying to think of a list to send
Jonathon)
