That I will agree with! Name another show aimed at younger people which focuses as much
as PRESS GANG does without being morbid or preachy. It is very unusual, and one of the
reasons it is such a brilliant series.

Those would be interesting questions to ask Steven Moffat if he ever stops by. Spike
reverts back to character eventually, but would he have ever left for America in the
first place if he hadn't had Mary's death affecting him? There's no right or wrong
answer to that one. We don't know how much the loss of Spike affected the paper because
we don't see any episodes set in that time--you can bet it does have an effect. I find
it interesting that Lynda still is clinging to a picture of Spike even after six months
of his being gone, and after we were led to think she'd tossed out all of his pictures.
That tells us a great deal about Lynda.

BTW, I vote Eavan to be our official PGML Punctuation Disciplinarian---that's
bureaucratese for "hall monitor", but sounds much more impressive, and probably pays
better, too!
