Tiddler pointless and bland? Well who wouldn't be when you don't get any good
lines to say for the final three years of the show! I don't think Tiddler's
character ever survived the transition from the first two seasons and never
really developed her potential as a rival to Lynda as a result of the paper
going commercial. The bad hair didn't help, either. Tiddler functions best as
a reflection of our own desires to see Spike and Lynda succeed in their
relationship, as well as having somebody in the newsroom who was still young
enough to appreciate paperwads and pet bunnies. This is supposed to be a
children's newspaper, although from the subjects they pursue most of the time,
you'd never know it. I like her character myself, and feel it was
underutilized.

Kevin, sticking up for the underdog as any good member of the Sophie Newton Fan
Club would.
