I must admit if Spike was killed off I can't see Lynda staying at the
paper and I can't see press gang without either of them. Perhpas
Spike would only have been wounded ? That way the actor could leave
and the character remian - in Bandages or just off scene.

Actully I think the Gunman would have shot Spike and then shot
himself.

How about a character more like Lynda than Lynda ? How would Lynda
react to meating herself ? I think it might casue her to change.

One other probelm if Spike left then Kenny couldn't go as well the
series could cope with losing them both.
