The journo was Matt Buchanon, and he describes GG, BG as "a clever funky
show. It has clever funky characters . . . But what strikes you quickly
about this rather strange but winning program is its good-naturedness.
Choosing to bless a major support character, Rouben, with Tourette's
syndrome is not only a (#@*%4!) brilliant idea but getting away with it is
a sturdy tribute to the show's generally harmless, energising temperament.
The whole enterprise comes across like a Grange Hill or Press Gang for
adults."

If you want to read the whole thing it was in Monday's (11th) SMH in 'The
Guide' section, page 17 in reviews for Tuesday night television.

Can't say that I regard Press Gang as "generally harmless" - I think that
implies a kind of universally benign and happy program, not exactly
compatable with episodes such as Monday-Tuesday, TAC and The rest of my
life.
