No no no! Sarah is *vital*! (So I think anyway. Though I'm quite good
at being wrong. Wish there was an A-level in being wrong.) I think
that Sarah is the antithesis to Lynda, much in the same way that Kenny
is. Sarah is calm and stable where Lynda is erratic and unpredictable.
And whilst Kenny partly fulfills this criteria, he isn't a female friend
of Lynda's. Plus the whole jealousy thing was brilliantly done!

I agree - "Bad News" is the one I always choose to introduce friends.
Anyone who has sat through bad kids' TV will certainly appreciate Lynda
ripping the piss. Another possibility is "The Big Hello" - if you fill
in some background first.
