Sheesh, you guys are worse than me! Okay, okay, I'll head into Target
today and have a little look-see for you. But I hate to break it to
you...the books are AWFUL. When they first arrived in Australia at the
ABC shop, over-eager girl here raced out and bought numbers one and
four.... the disappointment I experienced I still have trouble talking
about, oh all right I'll give it a try...
        They are oh-so-badly written I can't read without cringing. To a PG
fan, they're torture and really insulting. Cliche-ridden and
over-written: no-one "says" anything, they "concede" or "demand" or
"gasp". Really, really bad. And I used to read Babysitters Club books as
a young teen, so it's not like I have really high standards.
        But, as I feel you should have the opportunity of reading the tripe
yourselves, I'll go and see what's available.
