OK! I've decided I've had enough of people knocking TAC. What did some of you
guys expect from the final episode? Lynda to go through a "Sandy in Grease" like
transformation and end up in a tight leather get-up, before taking Spikes
hand and
having them both dance around the newsroom singing "You're the one that I want"!?
And then what? Kenny can show up to walk Lynda up the isle as they get married and
indicate that now they'll live happily ever after! This is followed by the entire
cast linking arms and breaking into a chorus of "We go together" and they all waltz
off into the sunset.
<<Reminds me of bad news... how are their singing voices, anyway?>>
Puh-lease! We all know that Press Gang is better than that. I loved the final
scene between Lynda and Spike - it was a perfect summary of their entire
relationship and the entire basis of the show. I agree that it lacked a lot of what
made us all fall in love with PG, but if was "a normal everyday" situation, we'd
all be complaining that it was too ordinary!
Ok, I'm done. NOW you can rip me to pieces...

Gazette Newsroom version of "Tell me more" after "At last dragon."

-- I had an errand there: gathering water-lilies, green leaves and lilies white to please my pretty lady, the last ere the year's end to keep them from the winter, to flower by her pretty feet till the snows are melted. Each year at summer's end I go to find them for her, in a wide pool, deep and clear, far down Withywindle; there they open first in spring and there they linger latest.
By that pool long ago I found the River-daughter, fair young Goldberry sitting in the rushes. Sweet was her singing then, and her heart was beating!
And that proved well for you--for now I shall no longer go down deep again along the forest-water, no while the year is old. Nor shall I be passing Old Man Willow's house this side of spring-time, not till the merry spring, when the River-daughter dances down the withy-path to bathe in the water. -- J. R. R. Tolkien
