Good point. I am positive there are lots of PG fans in the UK who would be
absolutely thrilled to bits to know that they are not the only PG fan and that in
fact there is a thriving bunch of us chatting
merrily away on the internet. I know I was thrilled when I fist got online in 1994
to find other
people who were as mad about PG as I was. In real life I have never met anyone who
is a
PG fan, but then that's probably because it's not the kind of thing that pops into
conversation.
It's considered quite normal (ish !) to be mad about Star Trek et al, but I'm not
sure that people would look so favourably on a man in his late twenties being
fixated on a late 80's children's programme !
Two notable UK PG fans who don't appear to be online, or if they are they are
keeping a very
low profile, are Stephen O'Brien who was behind the excellent PG fanzine BREAKFAST
AT CZARS and Jim Sangster , the editor of the also brilliant PG PROGRAMME GUIDE.
It would be nice to have their regular input on the list.
To get back to your point, it would be great if there was some way of reaching all
the unconnected
PG fans in the UK ( and all over) and to tell them about all the fun they're
missing.
