I think the last one was in October 1995, the other having been held a
year before that. They *did* bring together fans, but other than Sandra
Hastie's mailing list, it wasn't really publicised. Most PG fans who'd
contacted Richmond at some point got sent information about the
conventions, but they were held in Liverpool (kind of out the way if you
live further south than Yorkshire!), and obviously weren't publicised on
a national scale.

So it was kind of the same "inner ring" of fans at both of the
conventions... plus everyone was there to see the cast, not really to
meet other PG fans. Well they might have been, but I wasn't really! I
was quite a bit younger than most of the fans at the time!
