(Sorry I think I say this every time) I really half agree with you on this. Day Dreams was an important insight into all her relationships, particularly her real feelings towards Spike. But I also quite like the fact that the relationship hadn't changed too much (maybe I just like shallow relationships :)) One of the things I like about Steven Moffat's writing is that he doesn't pretend that it's easy for two people to get along or that it will even neccesarily get easier the more they know each other. I think with two people like Spike and Linda there's always going to be a certain amount of totally unneccesary arguing, attempts to make each other jealous and all that stuff.
