Well, a hell of a lot of people voted - I don't think it's accurate to blame Julie for it. Actually the whole "long shot on Julie" as she's about to vote (presumably) was lost on me - I suppose she was supposed to be making a difficult decision; but it always came across to me as if there was some subterfuge I'd missed - maybe I just didn't see why a choice between Colin or Kenny was such a hard decision. Julie's hard-nosedness does show again (eg in "In The Picture" (in some parts)), but perhaps wanes a little as she becomes better friends with Lynda. > I also think that Lynda >preffered Sam to Julie but I don't think she would even admit that to >herself, I disagree - it was recently discussed, Lynda refered to Julie as her best friend, and there was plenty of cases where they talked as frinds - this certainly wasn't the case with Lynda and Julie - with only two recorded instances of any sense of understanding between them (as far as I can remember) (the end of "Friends Like These" and in part of "The Rest Of My Life"). > Mostly because Sam >has enough personality to stand up to Lynda and show that she can be just as >selfish and bitchy as Lynda. It's true that Lynda thrived on her "bitchiness competition" with Sam, but Julie certainly kept her in her place in many cases (I'm talking about Julie version 1.2 here - The Assistant Editor model). >Actually does anybody else have the Press Gang books? That's right - I believe the UK versions had photo's on the jacket, and it is these that the blurb refers to.
