New Rochelle is a city in Westchester County, just north of NYC (30 minutes by train, so it appeals to commuters) along the Long Island Sound. Westchester is one of the poshest areas of the US, but New Rochelle is one of the less deriable areas to live in the county (run down, high crime rate, etc.) although there are some nicer areas. As someone who lives two towns over I found this both appropriate and rather amusing. Hilary L.
