Firstly, thank you to Jonathan for collating these lists, this sort of thing
can take a lot of time.
Now, some comments...
>There were a wide range of opinions expressed, and of the 40 episodes
>(two-parters counted as one), 38 received votes on one or other of the lists
>(Page One (ep 1) and Deadline (ep 4) received no votes).
I'm more surprised about Deadline than Page One - Page One is more of a
"middle-ground" show, as it has history and some great lines, while not
having a hugely exciting plotline in and of itself.
>Friends Like These =21 (best) and =11 (worst)
>Day Dreams =13 =15
>Friendly Fire =13 =11
>There Are Crocodiles =13 =17
It doesn't surprise me that these eps produced so many segregated opinions,
as they have great and "awful" (by PG terms) components - only one of them
made it to my top/bottom ten listsfor this reason (and that (TAC) was at
number 10).
>Series Posn. Episode
>3 1 The Last Word (just)
>2 2 At Last A Dragon (received more votes than TLW)
Just to check - do you mean that "The Last Word" parts One and Two
_together_ topped the poll, but "ALAD" beat each ep individually?
<"Worsts">
>Series Posn. Episode
>2 1 Picking Up The Pieces (by a long way, and was on all lists)
That's pretty definitive.
>4 2 UnXpected
Gee, Frazz didn't do too well did he...
>1 3 One Easy Lesson
>4 4 She's Got It Taped
...or Sarah...
>5 5= Windfall
>5 5= Head and Heart
... or Colin :)
>Finally, if anyone who didn't vote wants to be included, they can still send
>me their lists and I will update the overall tallies accordingly.
This sounds like a great ongoing project, Jonathan.
