I'd say that Spike's parents were together for a long time but one
and off. 'A night In' seems to sugest that a) Katherene was leaving all
the time but that she came back a lot as well. I think the final
break would have been after or just before they moved to England.
So up until Spike was around 14 ?
By the way do we have any idea what Spike's father did for a living
apart fromt he fact he was in the army at one time - judging by the
photos in "Love and War".
