Quick reminder to all (apologies to those who know but I get the feeling
some don't), Andy Crowe IS a tetraplegic and based partly on that and
partly on the fact that there are at least similar gadgets on the market
I'd say that the gadget in the show is definitely real. Also, tetra or
quadraplegia does not mean necessarily mean complete paralysis of the
limbs. With physiotherapy, the use of some muscle groups can be
regained/improved (ie the slight movements Billy made to move the control
of his wheelchair).
