Absolutely - I remember being very impressed by that question when I first
saw "ST".

Yeah, I supppose you're right - although it was not Spike's perceived
intelligence I was refering to, but his demonstrated ability to be a good
reporter (even the arguments with Lyda show a level of wit requiring an
intelligent mind)- I think what I was _really_ picking up on is that in "The
Big Hello", he's not doing it to out-do Lynda ("Photo Finish", "Yesterday's
News", et al) or to escape the machinations of Colin ("Love and War"), but
it was simply "this is what Spike does for a living, and he's good at it".
