happy new year, everyone. i have just finished reading the whole stack
of press gang mails i had lined up- it is so good to get them!
kevin, you are right, most guys do not have any foresight or sense of
planning whatsoever (referring to spike coaching sarah on dumping david
in killer on the line and how counterproductive this would be should he
ask her out in years to come) i think spike is a bit more calculating
though and would probably keep his options open if he could, so my
theory is that he has ruled sarah out completely at this point, hence
the dumping lesson. i think whoever referred to the brother-sister type
relationship between the two is closer to it (sorry, i can't remember
who it was).
i was surprised to hear you are disappointed with the 3rd series though.
i admit, the 1st two series are my favourite and once they leave school
it's a bit weird, but i am a big fan up until the 5th series, which is
the one which really disappointed me, i couldn't even bear to continue
watching after a few episodes.
with regard to spike's "disgusting" activities at the school dance, i
have often wondered about that, too. i always assumed it was something
more sordid than mooning, like being drunk or sleazing onto some girl
but i think mooning is more in line with spike's charcter, he's more
likely to pull a fun prank rather than something a bit more serious.
perhaps he was making crop circles on the school field??
anyway, my poor little fingers are tired from all this typing. i had
better rest them. i go back to uni in 2 weeks, so they need their
strength. boo hoo.
zoe
