I believe Lynda is greatly misunderstood. She's not inherently a bitch.
Rather, she is a highly sensitive person who feels emotions very strongly.
Because of this, she is afraid of getting hurt, so she acts bitchy as a
distancing technique. Unfortunately, this has become such an ingrained
habit that she has a hard time acting otherwise. She has the potential to
be a very likeable person--it just takes someone of hardy emotional
constitution (like Spike) who is willing to put up with all the nonsense
and eventually peel back the layers of defense mechanisms.
