Actully its rather boring - Press Gang was repeated many times on the
ABC giving lots of people the oppertunity to see it, and to realise
just how great it was.
I think series 1-4 must have been shown 3 or 4 times and quite
recently, they were last shown in 1995.
Series 5 only got shown twice, 1995 and 1996, but we were already
hooked.
Where as in England it has not been shown since 1993 on Free to air
television, which gives it a smaller audence. In America it is
currently beign shown but again only on Pay TV of various kinds. Thus
giving more Australain, recent, exposure to this great series. Which
means more of us remember the series and have a desire to talk about
it : )
