Okay, I'm not a big fan of WINDFALL, but I'll take the bait. Besides the famous pet scene, there is
the fabulous opening on the telephone between Lynda and Julie. There is the great chemistry Paul and
Lucy have in their diner scenes together. There is also some great physical comedy from Paul that
comes close to his scenes in IN THE PICTURE. And, yes, there is the lovely thought of a wicked cat
named Lynda. That's the good news. On the down side, there is a really, REALLY lousy ending which I
passionately hate. Julie's character is very inconsistently written--bright one minute, airhead the
next.A lot of the story is frankly a contrivance, too. If you don't like physical comedy, you'll not
like this story. That sort of thing isn't everyone's bag, and I can accept that.
Kevin, somewhat more sedated this day, as long as I don't think about teeth or dentists.
