I didn't find it inconsistent at all. For me it was almost a play on
the fact that even though they aren't allowed to swear on television in
a childrens slot, children/young adults *do* swear. Of course we didn't
get to see Lynda swear.. we couldn't in a "kids" show... so instead we
cut to see Lynda finally calming down and putting coins into the box,
indicating that she *did* get mad and swear her mouth off at someone.
